Type 2 Diabetes
Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) is a disease of metabolism in which the body cannot properly use the energy from food, resulting in elevated blood glucose levels.
In order to reduce blood glucose levels, doctors often combine treatment1 approaches including:
- Lifestyle modification (diet and exercise)
- Glucose-lowering medications (including insulin)
Many people find T2D challenging to manage2, and despite best efforts, their blood glucose levels remain high, putting them at risk of health issues.3
